El famoso Sommelier Charlie Arturaola llega después de haber viajado por el mundo en una botella de vino (como el dice) a la provincia de Mendoza, Argentina, para formar parte del clamoroso evento ” Masters of food & wine”. Una vez en el evento y antes de comenzar con su cata de vinos, entre el glamour y el stress, sucede algo inusual: pierde su paladar.
Charlie necesita recuperarlo, durante su búsqueda a una solución para el problema, tiene encuentros decisivos con las personalidades más importantes del mundo del vino, como por ejemplo con Michel Rolland, quien piensa que tiene que lavar su paladar con los mejores vinos de la región.
Entonces, Charlie comienza un viaje por las grandes bodegas y a través de los viñedos y vendimias para conectarse con los lugareños que trabajan el vino. Al darse cuenta de que el consejo no funcionó, emprende la retirada del mundo glamoroso del que el cree pertenecer, por lo cual comienza un viaje hacia su propia esencia, sus afectos, sus penas y sus fantasmas.
” El CAMINO DEL VINO” oscila con cierta crueldad entre la comedia y el verdadero drama de un hombre que se perdió por el deseo de pertenecer a un mundo, que no era el suyo propio.

The famous sommelier Charlie Arturaola arrives at the Mendoza, Argentina, to take part in the glamorous event “Masters of Food and Wine”, after having “travelled the world on a wine bottle”, as he usually says. Once in the event and before his tasting, between glamour, stress and marketing something unusual happens: he loses his palate. Charlie needs to recover it. In the search of a solution for his problem, he has decisive encounters with the most important people of the wine world, like Michel Rolland, who thinks that he has to “wash” his palate with the best wines of the region. Charlie starts a journey from huge wineries through small vineyards and wine harvest’s processions getting closer with the people of the villages who work the vine. Realizing the failure of the advice, his journey becomes a return, getting away from that glamorous world where he thinks he belongs. It turns into a new journey towards his essence, his loved ones, his pains and real ghosts. “The ways of the wine” oscillates with cruelty between comedy and the true drama of a man who got lost because of his desire of belonging to a world, other than his own.
